Ensure that the surface in contact with the bearing pads is flat, clean, and free from impurities or bumps. After installation, make necessary adjustments and calibrations to ensure good fit between the bearing shells and other components.
Perform surface treatment on the bearing pads as needed to improve their performance. The commonly used treatment methods include surface coating, spray coating, heat treatment (such as carburizing, nitriding), hardening, etc., to increase the wear resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance of bearing shells.
Basis Information
The bearing shell usually consists of two parts: the upper ring and the lower ring. The upper ring is a circular ring with a larger inner diameter, and the lower ring is a sleeve with a smaller outer diameter. The upper ring is usually made of wear-resistant materials, such as copper alloy, to provide good wear resistance and thermal conductivity.
